Rosel Zech was born in 1940, in Berlin, Germany during the start of WWII. Performing was her only respite as a child and she launched herself into acting, singing, and dancing. She was born Rosalie Helga Lina Zech, but she changed her name to Rosel for the stage and screen. She made her debut in the theater in 1962 and continued acting on stage for about ten years before she ventured into the world of German TV with her 1971 debut in the TV movie Der Pott. She then starred as Wanda in Ice Age (1975), as Frau Schukert in Lola (1081), as Adele in Mosch (1980), as Lilli Marleen in Hemingway (1988), as Felicitas Frey in The Officer Factory (1989), as Mrs. Neuhaus in Mr. Bluesman (1993), as Blonde Frau in Aimee & Jaguar (1999), as Oma Crash in Off Beat (2004), and Veronika Voss (1982) where she famously played the titular character. This is the role that really made her a star. Her final role was in the series For Heaven's Sake, but she did do one hot role back in 1991. She played Roswitha in Salmonberries where she appeared in black lace lingerie as well as a white silk negligee. She engaged in a lesbian scene kissing another woman while both wore sexy lingerie. She did not appear nude in this film, but she did make it hot. She passed away at the age of 71 in 2011 in her home in Berlin.
