Poupée Bocar was born in San Diego as Anna Graziella Boccaccio. Although we don't know why she chose her scatological-sounding name, "poupée" means "doll" in French. This attractress gained a modicum of fame in the '60s and '70s for her roles in a variety of projects. The gorgeous groovy gal made appearances in some of the most popular TV shows of the time, including Ironside, Get Smart, Mod Squad, and Columbo. Between these performances in successful series (and less successful series like Nichols, Search, Banacek, and The Joey Bishop Show), Poupée made time for a role in her first and last credited movie, the fittingly-titled The Last Movie (1971). The film is directed by acting legend Dennis Hopper and takes place in Peru, where the locals can’t tell the difference between real life and movie magic. Poupée enchants as a sultry nightclub singer who has an erotic encounter with a woman in front of a crowd of men. She gets her nips nuzzled and kissed during a boner-inducing close-up. Poupée’s poppers steal the scene (if not the film), and although The Last Movie was her only skinematic appearance, Ms. Bocar left a lasting impression. It's too bad she didn't last in the business. We're not sure why she left or what she spent the rest of her life doing. However, a YouTube video from 2015 implies that she changed her last name back to Boccaccio and dabbled as a nightclub singer like the one she played in The Last Movie. In 2020, some obscure outlets reported that Poupée had passed away. That's shitty!
