Poor Boy's Game (2007)

Working-class roughneck Rossif Sutherland has just been released from prison after a ten-year stint for pummeling his boxing opponent into pudding. Straight life isn't ready to welcome him back just yet though, and Poor Boy's Game (2007) follows his bighouse-to-outhouse adventures in racial tension and revenge in the ring. It seems that Rossif's infamous walloping of K.C. Collins ramped up the racial hatred in town, so his hoosegow romance with a black cellmate is something best kept hidden—especially from his bigoted brother, Greg Bryk. On top of all this, K.C.'s dad, Danny Glover, has been dreaming of the day he could exact sweet revenge for the be-pudding-ing of his boy. Will he pull the trigger on Rossif, or will he let the ragin' Caucasian be? And what of Rossif's opportunity to win twenty large by stepping back into the ring?
