Pond Life (2019)

Pond Life (2018) takes place in the summer of 1994 in a small mining village in England called Doncaster. It is there that there is a rumor about a legendary giant carp in one of the local man-made ponds. A young man named Trevor watches out one night for the giant carp at the water. The next night he gathers a bunch of his friends and neighbors to try to fish up the carp. A ragtag group of friends and villagers find unity as they all go to the pond together to hunt up that carp. They all come from different backgrounds with their own sets of things going on from successes to tragedies and broken homes and wild political strife, but they all come together to fish up a giant carp. That's just what big fish rumors do, we guess. Speaking of rumors, if you heard that you see some skin in this movie then you heard correct. Daisy Edgar-Jones plays Cassie who shows off her midriff when she looks in the mirror and sees a bunch of stuff written on her arm and her stomach in pen. She checks herself out in the mirror, giving us a closeup of her small belly and her underwear before she lowers her shirt and hides her skin from the world. Thank goodness we got to see her undies and her thighs for just that second in Pond Life. We are willing to bet that the pond isn't the only thing that's damp around here!
