Born to a Parsi family in Bombay, Persis Khambatta became Miss India 1965 at age 15, which launched her career as an actress and model. She achieved her greatest success when she was cast as the bald-headed Lieutenant Ilia in Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979). That same year she became the first Indian citizen to present an Academy Award. Though her movie career never took off again, she remained in Hollywood and was romantically linked to Sylvester Stallone, Henry Kissinger, Ted Kennedy, and Rutger Hauer. She returned to India in 1985 to attempt to revive her film career and died of a heart attack in 1998. Persis never got naked on screen, but her last film role was starring in the sword and sorcery flick She Wolves of the Wasteland (1988) alongside naked B-movie actress Roxanne Kernohan. Not a bad way to go out.
