Pat Astley started her career out in the early-1970s with starring roles in British Hardcore shorts (known as “Blue Movies…”) directed and produced by John Lindsay and George Marks. In 1971, she managed a starring role as “The Maid” in one of these films, End of Term, which officially launched her career as a Sex Star at the height of the British Sexploitation Era. After spending several years posing for nudie magazines in The U.K., Pat finally made her way into mainstream film, landing a background role in 1976’s I’m Not Feeling Myself Tonight. This led to a part on the long-running hit comedy series Are You Being Served? as “Mr. Grace’s Nurse,” although the part was given to Vivienne Johnson after only a few episodes. Thus, Pat returned to more Skinematic endeavors, taking on parts as background scenery (generally of the “Gratuitously Naked” type…) in such films as Come Play with Me, Let’s Get Laid, You’re Driving Me Crazy, The Stud, Rosie Dixon--Night Nurse, Adventures of a Plumber’s Mate, and The World Is Filled of Married Men. Keep your eyes peeled throughout all of them, and if you’re lucky, you’ll catch a glimpse of Pat in all her naked glory…For Pat’s finer Skin exposures, though, one need look no further than 1978’s The Playbirds or her final film, 1984’s Don’t Open ‘Til Christmas. Both films feature Pat in all her topless wonder whilst posing for nude photos, although the latter film admittedly takes a much longer look at her rack than the prior does… Still, we need options, right?
