One Day (2024-)

Based on the acclaimed novel by David Nicholls, which also inspired the 2011 film of the same name, this Netflix miniseries starts off with an important date, July 15th, 1988. It’s the day that working-class student Emma Morley (Ambika Mod) meets the quite posh Dexter Mayhew (Leo Woodall) on the night of their graduation from school in the UK. Despite instant chemistry and a bit of fooling around, they decide to remain just friends as they come from tow very different worlds and have different goals in life. Emma dreams of being a writer and spearheading social change while Dexter is just interested in pursuing fame and fun. Every episode takes place on the July 15ths they experience through the next fourteen years as they go off live their lives, always being drawn back together again by a love that feels more than platonic. Ambika strips down to her undies but comes just shy of showing her best bits, even when she and Leo ned up in bed together. Mathilde Thomine Storm, however, briefly bares her bumpers while having sex with Leo in Rome. We’d love more than just one day with these dolls!
