The Lovers (2023)

It’s a six part series about world’s colliding, particularly those of Seamus O’Hannigan (Johnny Flynn) and Janet (Roisin Gallagher). Seamus is a TV presenter who broadcasts out of Belfast, but we’re sure you already assumed that due to the name. It’s actually a stage name though. He’s from London and his real name is John Snow (three guesses as to why he decided to change it!) While reporting on his weekly Sunday show about politics, he crosse the path of Janet after she’s been fired from her supermarket job and is grappling with depression. Despite his self-centeredness and her care-free way of life, an unexpected love forms. Their differences complicate things, as does the fact that he’s already dating Hollywood actress Frankie (Alice Eve), but the two can’t help but be drawn to one another. In the fourth episode, Roisin goes topless while the two are in bed, but we only get a glance at her right breast when she mounts him to rip his shirt off. Irish we got to see more!
