Close To Me (2021)

Based on the novel of the same name by Amanda Reynolds, the Channel 4/Viaplay series Close to Me debuted in the late summer of 2021 and mines the darker corners of the old trope of the wealthy couple who seemingly has it all. Connie Nielsen stars as Jo Harding, an ultra wealthy woman whose life seems pretty ideal on the surface, from her beautiful home to her devoted husband Rob (Christopher Eccleston). Following a freak accident, Jo wakes up to discover that an entire year has passed since her last memory of the accident and cannot seem to understand how or why she's experienced this lost time. Now back at what she thinks are her full faculties, she begins digging into her missing year and soon discovers that not only was everything not as perfect in her life as she seems to remember before the accident, but that someone may be doing everything in their power to make sure she doesn't find out the truth of her life. Her best friend Cathy (Susan Lynch) also seems to be hiding something, which may involve one of her husband's co-workers named Anna (Leanne Best), begging the question of whether it's better to know the truth, or to live in blissful ignorance of it in order to preserve your sanity? The series gets off to a skinsational start with the 56 year old Connie Nielsen going nude in the shower, showing off major sideboob along with a great look at her amazing ass! No matter how things shake out in this series, we wouldn't mind if Connie wanted to get Close to Me!
