No Good Deed (2002)

Karma can be a killer, and even the best of intentions can unleash a fatal spin of off-kilter ramifications. No Good Deed (2002), updated and adapted from a classic Dashiell Hammett crime-noir short story, "The House on Turk Street", extracts several degrees of divine payback beginning when a rugged cop (Samuel L. Jackson) of uncertain moral rigidity agrees to track down a runaway chick (Milla Jovovich) as a favor to a friend. This random act of kindness results in the detective stumbling upon a lair of thieves in the process of planning their next heist. The obliging officer is taken hostage by the murderous thugs and left under guard of the gang's moll. Does the pure-hearted law man work his charm on the hardened dame, or is she playing him for a chump? What goes around is bound to come around, but first twisting fate must throw a wicked curve into every best laid plan. At first, we thought the only nudity from Milla Jovovich was a three-B baring walk from the shower, but then a high definition transfer revealed two earlier nipslips in the film from Milla! Now that's a good deed worth rewarding!
