Nearest to Heaven (2002)

For as long as memory is alive, forever bringing highlights of the past to mind in ever fresher color, making each retelling of days bygone more vivid and alive than the last revisiting, for so long as recollections of happiness-lost haunt the anticipation of days ahead, then heaven will exist in the realm of what might have been. French screen legend Catherine Deneuve stars in Au plus près du paradis (2002) as a woman of a certain age who travels to a distant land and a time beyond recall in the hopes of reviving a love that in her heart has never quite been extinguished.
