Biography

If naughty Nan Goldin's name rings a bell, it's likely in a different world than acting, as she's one of the more influential photographers of LGBTQ bodies in history! Nan got her start back in the 70s around Boston, where she was an iconoclast of the era, where her photography shows tackled such un-talked about issues like LGBTQ families and lovers, Drag performers, HIV, teen suicide, and the immersive style of her photos makes her a legend in confronting societal pushback of the era. Along the way, she's worked with pretty much every big name in the art, fashion, film, and high society worlds of east coast America since the late 70s. Fun fact, the 1998 flick High Art with Ally Sheedy was actually about Nan. You know you've made it when Ally Sheedy plays you in a movie! While she was snapshotting her way around New York, she got some work doing still photographer on plenty of movie sets too along the way and since Nan is a total babe, she was bound to be propelled in front of the lens too, getting some work as an actress in flicks like Empty Suitcases (1980), You Are Not I (1981), and where she comes our way in the 1983 female sexual awakening drama Variety, centered on a porno theater in Times Square in the late 70s/early 80s NYC. Nan gets down the her bra for our viewing pleasure! She also took on a smaller role in another porn centric series much more recently with a bit part on The Deuce in 2018. Lovely Nan, keep doing what you're doing!
