Naked Acts (1997)

You've got to give Naked Acts (1997) credit for an original story line. It stars Jake-Ann Jones as the daughter of a famous blaxploitation star of the ‘70s. When mama was on set making chocolate love, Jake-Ann was being abused by her babysitter. As an adult she supplemented her anger by overeating. Thankfully, as the film starts, she’s burned off those extra pounds and is looking good for her close up in a film directed by an old flame. Trouble is the movie requires her to do a nude scene and she’s repulsed by nakedness of any sort. Well, cut to the chase, she gets over that inhibition rather quickly, hence the title. And Mr. Skin has always felt that if a woman chooses to act she should be naked.
