Carla Pérez (Thais Valdés) is a postal worker in Havana, Cuba. Numbed by the drudgery--and beaten down by the stifling bureaucracy--at her tedious job, she entertains herself by stealing letters, rewriting them as grandiose romantic odes, then sending them out again. She soon enlists the aid of her coworker/inevitable love interest Cesar (Nacho Luga), and together they set about doctoring the mail in hopes of changing lives. Despite the highly visual, Amelie-esque style of Nada+ (2001), it’s lacking in the way of naked visuals, though Valdés as the bored-stiff worker may have you stiff as a board--she often goes sans brassiere.
