Mr. Mercedes (2017-2018)

Based on the 2014 Stephen King novel, Mr. Mercedes roots itself in the horrors of real life. When Detective Hodges retires two years after a brutal murder - someone drove a Mercedes into a job fair, killing 16 - he's divorced, lonely, and still pretty obsessed with the uncaptured perpetrator. When "Mr. Mercedes" reaches out to him, Det. Hodges goes balls to the wall trying to lock him down. Interestingly enough, we're introduced to the killer right away in this story. His mom is played by Kelly Lynch, who spends a lot of time drinking in her underwear - which we certainly appreciate even if Mr. Mercedes doesn't!
