Landing in Hollywood at age twenty-four, Monica Potter wasted no time turning out an impressive body of work--and some great acting credits, too. A former Catholic school girl, she got her start chewing gum in a TV commercial and did some general modeling before grabbing a role on the soap opera The Young and the Restless and eventually playing alongside big boys like Nicolas Cage, Robin Williams, and Adam Sandler as a solid supporting actress of the proper and straight-laced variety. She exudes a quiet sensuality that is at one time strong and vulnerable, and the fact that she’s an utter knockout doesn’t hurt one bit either. She recently shed a little of her good-girl credibility, and a good deal of her clothes, as a covergirl for Maxim magazine. For even more peppery peeks at this perky princess, she played a biker chick in the Adam Sandler action comedy Bulletproof (1996), was the object of a trio of friends’ amorous intentions in Martha, Meet Frank, Daniel and Laurence (1998), and in I’m with Lucy (2002) was decked out in very boob-friendly beachwear--leaving just enough to the not-so-wholesome imaginations of most viewers.
