Miami Vice (1984-1986)

One of the beauties of online streaming services and DVD/Blu-Ray is that many of the classic shows from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s can now be watched again. While tons of those dated shows should stay out of you queue, one you should definitely try and find is the groundbreaking cop show Miami Vice. Sure, we make fun of the clothes and music now, but from 1984 to 1990, this NBC show was the hottest thing on TV, and had the coolest fashions, sounds, and looks that you could find on the small screen. So big as a pop culture entity that its costume and prop choices became influential on American men's clothing choices, the tourism industry, and even what handguns Americans were purchasing, on the show Don Johnson and Phillip Michael Thomas were partners James "Sonny" Crockett and Ricardo Tubbs, the two coolest detectives in Miami. They mainly dealt with drug runners and prostitution, since that era in Miami was a wild west for cocaine smugglers, but occasionally the show would mix in a weirder crook. Crockett is an athletic former Florida Gator wide receiver and Vietnam vet known for his tee shirts under suit jackets look. A chain smoker known for his black and white morality; his partner Tubbs is a New Yorker who picked Miami as his transfer destination since he thinks the drug kingpin who killed his brother might be hiding out there. Thanks to a law that let them have any cool stuff they confiscated from drug lords, the fellas had plenty of fast boats, fast cars, and fast women at their disposal. While the guest stars who appeared on this Anthony Yerkovich crafted show are legendary, during its 111 episode run, Miami Vice didn’t have any actual nudity (it was regular broadcast TV, after all), but it had no shortage of babes in bikinis and hot guest stars. If you're looking for big hair and a great pair, take a look at guest stars like Pam Grier, Belinda Montgomery, and Arielle Dombasle who delivers some of the hottest sweaty cleavage ever to grace prime time when she lays out in a tiny bikini and soaks up the warm Miami sun.
