Mr. Skin has a lot of respect for a woman who is both unafraid of embracing her skin-ful side while also pursuing other important interests. Case in point is the inspiringly sexy actress Melina Mercouri. Melina was born in Greece, and she was born an activist as much as an actress. She was elected to the Greek Parliament in 1977. Mr. Skin speaks of the hot redhead in the past tense, sadly, because she died of lung cancer on March 6, 1994. Even more tragic, Melina never showed off those lungs when they were young and healthy. The closest she came was in Never on Sunday (1960), where she took off her shirt but had her back to the camera. Never on Sunday or any other day of the week, apparently! Two years later, however, Melina took a role in the film Phaedra (1962). Unfortunately she side-stepped any skin-tastic fare in this movie but still looked sexy as heck. It really is a shame that Melina cannot grace us with some unfettered access to her hole-y trinity, but Skin Central tends to think that some specimens are just not cut out for the flesh fiend life. Nevertheless, there's nothing to not appreciate about Melina and her modest ways. She made an impact on the world even if her time was cut short. In the meantime, Mr. Skin will continue plumbing the depths of Greek cinema for more bate bait from Melina. Maybe there's some hidden 3 B action somewhere out there!
