Marcia McBroom is a Renaissance woman whom we love to see out of her corset! The NYC-born beauty attended Hunter College and graduated with a bachelor's degree in anthropology. But before she studied historical bodies, she made history with her body by putting it on screen in Russ Meyer’s infamous sexploitation flick Beyond the Valley of the Dolls (1970). Marcia only briefly flashes her chocolate milk-sacks in the movie, but that's plenty of time for you to add your cream. Despite embarking on a scholarly career (and teaching Sunday school!), Marcia continued to shake her stuff on screen and stage. She worked as a fashion model and went on to blaxploitation in The Legend of Nigger Charley (1972) and Christploitation in Jesus Christ Superstar (1973). She also appeared in the films Come Back Charleston Blue (1972), Willie Dynamite (1974), and The Bingo Long Traveling All-Stars & Motor Kings (1976). After playing a prostitute in Shackin' Up (AKA New York Nights) (1984), McBroom swept her acting career into the dustbin. In the decades that followed, Marcia taught history courses, popped up in documentaries like Sex, Drugs, Music and Murder: Signs of the Time, Baby! (2006) and Above, Beneath and Beyond the Valley: The Making of a Musical-Horror-Sex-Comedy (2006), and founded a charity called For Our Children's Sake, which funds a project called "A Thousand Boxes of Hope." Mr. Skin hopes that he'll see her box a thousand times before he dies, but in order for that to happen, Marcia needs to return to skinema.
