German cinema was more than a little hooter happy in the early 1970s, and the major mama Maja Hoppe was one of the ravishing reasons. Although she got her start “uncredited” in such Germanic jiggle-fests as The Hostess Exceeds All Bounds (1970) and Naughty Nymphs (1972), a.k.a. Passion Pill Swingers, Maja’s mams were destined for some more auspicious billings. (Well, relatively anyway.) She busted out (quite literally) in titles like Knickers Ahoy (1973) and Geh, zieh dein Dirndl aus (1973), a.k.a. Love Bavarian Style, before retreating back to a life less laden with onscreen nakedness.
