Love and Other Cults (2017) is a Japanese series about a young woman named Ai, played by Sairi Ito, who gets sent to a culty commune by her mom. She lives there for seven years, but when the police raid the cult Ai is forced to live life as a normal girl. There's a big problem with that, obviously. She has no idea how to stuff herself into normal life! She struggles to find her calling and find a good place for herself, but she feels all alone and she winds up getting into juvenile delinquency. She hits rock bottom in a world of drugs, crime, and sex. She weirdly winds up finding a new path by working in the sex industry. She meets Ryota and the two of them wind up working in porn and depending on one another to make it through their problematic teen years. Sairi working in porn? You know what that means!
