Swiss miss Lisa Fitz. Mr. Skin just wanted to start out with that charming mash-up of words—it’s just so much fun to say, and he didn’t want to spoil it by adding to it But now he will. Swiss miss Lisa Fitz was born in Switzerland, into the artistic family of Fitzes. Her dad was an actor, and she has two very famous cousins in showbiz (they’re both guys, so Mr. Skin doesn’t want to spend any more time on them). She studied ballet, acting, and classical guitar, and has been on stage in one form or another since she was 10-years old. At the perky age of 19, she exerted her independence and adulthood by going topless as innocent Susi in the German mockumentary The School Girls (1970). Lisa paused there for a little more growing up, then started her acting career for real in 1974, appearing in over 30 titles through 2008. Some of her more well-known roles include playing Rosalie Utz in the mini-series Ziet zum Augstehn, or Time to Get Up (1978); appearing as Fanni in the TV movie Mein Freund, der Scheich, or My Friend, the Sheikh (1981); playing Dr. Hanna Wildbauer in the television series Die Gerichtmedizinerin, or The Coroner, from 2005-2008; and as Fanny in the series Zur Sache, Lena!, or Down to Business, Lena!, in 2008. Meanwhile, she got involved in the cabaret scene sometime in the early ‘80s, and was the first woman in Germany to appear in solo acts with her own material. In the 40+ years since, she’s had over 3,000 solo cabaret shows with audience numbers of over two million, and fans in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Mr. Skin will always sing Lisa’s praises!
