Growing pains plague a pretty teen from a bustling German family in the coming-of-age TV movie Liebe Amelie (2005). Maria Kwiatkowsky stars as the titular Amelie, an introverted sixteen-year-old who has problems adjusting to her new school after her parents pick up and move the family to Munich. Because parents Kristin (Gabriela Maria Schmeide) and Bernd (Olivier Stokowski) are busy at work, they neglect to notice that their precious daughter is drifting closer and closer to the edge. Maris Pfeiffer’s drama is fraught with tragic undertones, though viewers may wonder what Kwiatkowsky has to be so upset about. As far as looks are concerned, the German redhead’s an undisputed knockout, and she offers ample evidence by cavorting freely in the nude.
