Leonor Will Never Die (2022)

A surreal, mind-bending fantasy about a former screenwriter of 80’s action films in Manila named Leonor Reyes (Sheila Francisco), who spends her days watching old DVDs that harken back to her glory days while she argues with one son (Bong Cabrera) and mourns the death of the other (Anthony Falcon). When she’s hit in the head with a falling TV set, she’s put into a coma and her subconscious launches her into the brutal world of her last, unfinished screenplay The Return Of The Kwago where the protagonist (Rocky Salumbides), a representation of her dead son, fights off corrupt politicians and gangsters. Rea Molina provides some sumptuous skin during a flowery burlesque number and then appears in just a towel before she and Rocky slide into bed after he saves her from her angry mafioso boyfriend. It’ll leave you dying to see more!
