Reggie and Ronnie Kray were real-life identical twins brothers—two men who ran the criminal underground of East London during the 1960s. Not so coincidentally, they are both played by Tom Hardy in this big-screen adaption. At the beginning of the film, Reggie is fresh out of prison and his brother Ron is committed to an psychiatric hospital on account of also not surprising psychotic violence and erratic behavior. A retired boxer who has made a name for himself in London's underbelly, Reggie manages to get his brother out so the two can rise to power together. Through brutal violence, rampant robbery, and cold-blooded murder, they do just that, striking a deal with the American Mafia in the process. Soon enough, though, Ronnie's violence attracts the attention of the Scotland Yard, who begins to investigate them and attempts to bring them down. Luckily, Reggie had some time to wife up Emily Browning, who strips down to her bra and panties during one scene. Now that is legendary!
