Le secret (2000)

It’s no secret that Mr. Skin likes The Secret (2000), also known as Le Secret. Not to be confused with the Canadian pic Le Secret de Jérôme (1994), this R rated French flick marks writer/director Virginie Wagon’s feature film debut. The risqué romantic drama centers around an encyclopedia saleswoman named Marie portrayed by Belgian actress Anne Coesens. Instead of wanting to grow her family with husband François (Michel Bompoil), the svelte stunner seduces a black American named Bill (Tony Todd). We assume this is what most married women in France do. The twist is there’s plenty of existential angst since none of the parties involved seem particularly interested in what they’re doing. Of course, we’re just talking about the exploration of deep emotional issues. The actual sex scenes are wonderfully shallow — and hot! Just 42 minutes into the movie, Ms. Coesens goes full frontal while Mr. Todd goes down on her for a scene featuring un-simulated cunnilingus. Or do you say Coesens-gus? If that’s not arousing enough, the leading lady dons an open shirt to dance around sans pants. Later, she’s in the tub with her son while her hubby tries to rub on her boobettes. Wait a few more minutes and you can see Anne’s back, rack, rump and muff in the sack. She then struts her stuff in the buff in the kitchen. Now that’s what we call some sexy skinternational mise en scène. Suffice it to say, the skintastic starlet is naked in the bed, bath and beyond!
