Lap Dance (2014)

Writer/director Greg Carter’s Lap Dance (2014) actually has more in common with the erotic flick Indecent Proposal (1993) than the similarly-titled Lap Dancer (1995) and Confessions of a Lap Dancer (1997). That’s because it has to do with pacts made and broken between loved ones. In other words, Monica (Ali Cobrin) makes a deal with her fiancé to work as an exotic dancer for a short time to get them out of debt. Despite starting out with good intentions, she soon finds herself absorbed into this decadent world. As a result, their lives will never be the same again. But before things go awry, we get to see Ms. Cobrin’s amazing assets. In addition to donning alluring attire, the sexy brunette flashes her ass in the sack! Since much of the story is set in a strip club, we are treated to several scenes of semi-naked dancers (emphasis on semi). While Momma Pearl (Lynn Whitfield) and Kelly (Nia Peeples) heat up the screen with images of their collective cleavage, Jade Lee (K. D. Aubert) sets it on fire with views of her nude boobs! The same can be said for stripper Lauren “Lux” Smith. The movie also includes Ashley Ferrer, Briana Evigan, Brittany O’Conner, Crystal Maywald, Lisa Arnett, Stacey Dash, Yvette Lopez, and Mariel Hemingway. Did we mention Carmen Electra is in the cast? As pole dancer Lexus, she gets our engines going when she gyrates on stage in a slinky bikini. Mr. Skin just wishes she was dancing with his pole!
