When Éric L’Heureux (Maxim Gaudette) is betrayed by his brother, he escapes to a lakeside cottage on the outskirts of Quebec with his dog Jules and a briefcase full of stolen money. While trying to find some peace and solitude, Éric finds himself locked in a passionate affair with his only neighbor, Kate (Laurence Leboeuf), a captivating and beautiful stripper hiding out from her a policeman that is in love with her. The action and suspense of Lac Mystère (2013) heats up when a criminal on the lam is seen wandering through the secluded area, and a body is pulled from the body of water mysterious called the Lake of Lost Souls.
