La mujer es un buen negocio (1977)

A lovesick singer launches a musical tour-guide service in the hopes of making enough money to marry his sweetheart in the light-hearted Spanish comedy La Mujer es un buen negocio (1977). Manolo Escobar plays the lead role in Valerio Lazarov’s tuneful flick, which sees its heroine attempting to turn his penchant for song into a lucrative travel business. By serenading his clients during trips to exotic destinations, the tour guide figures he can position himself a few steps closer to claiming Didi Sherman as his blushing bride. Truth be told, Manolo might want to watch out––when redheaded Puerto Rican Iris Chacón dons sequined lingerie to dance the night away for the tourists, she might have the hero singing a new tune.
