El libro del buen amor II (1976)

Director Tomas Aznar left some erotic loose ends untied in his screen adaptation of a ribald fourteenth-century tome, so filmmaker Jaime Bayarri swoops in to finish the job in the heavenly sequel El Libro del buen amor II (1976). Based on the same source material--a classic work penned by the Archpriest of Hita--Bayarri’s film recounts in graphic detail the amorous grapplings of a noblewoman and a poet. Pedro Almodovar regular Carmen Maura gets a well-deserved top billing for a scene where she screws beneath the forest canopy, but Isabel Mestres, Sandra Mozarowsky, and Esperanza Roy are no less stellar in their revealing roles.
