Shot on the scenic savannah of Namibia, the British-produced drama Kin (2000) describes the conflict between an African wildlife ranger and her disapproving brother. Miranda Otto stars as Anna, a beautiful young woman who’s dedicated herself to protecting the elephants who roam the grasslands of her African nation. Her Lutheran pastor brother (Chris Chameleon) disapproves of her work, but he saves his harshest words for her romance with Stone (Isaiah Washington), an American lawyer who agrees to help Anna track down a gang of poachers. You’ve got to hand it to Washington––he’s come a long way to chase skirts. Nevertheless Otto’s more than worth it, as she proves by cavorting in the buff for her litigious lover.
