A lady doesn’t need a long film career to become a skin favorite. She just needs to choose the right roles--and Kim Hopkins made some very memorable choices. Forget her bit part in the schlock hit Ransom (1977). Instead, concentrate on Kim’s three stellar film roles, all released in a very short period. She certainly stands out as a wardrobe girl in Cheech & Chong’s Next Movie (1980), but her brazen sex appeal makes her very believable as a young Xaviera Hollander in The Happy Hooker Goes Hollywood (1980). And then there’s the classic cable hit The Hollywood Knights (1980), where Kim plays a cheerleader sunning her plump pom poms right by the pool. It’s a great moment in cinema, made even better when Kim gets up from her chair and lets her bush take a bow.
