Alternately titled Killer, Mark Malone’s Bulletproof Heart (1994) chronicles the exploits of an NYC-based hired gun played by Anthony LaPaglia. Mick (LaPaglia) doesn’t let his conscience get in the way of emptying his clip into the back of his victims’ skulls. As the hitman begins to weary of his work, however, he decides to make his next job his last. Arriving at the home of a glitzy Manhattan swinger (Mimi Rogers), Mick finds himself uncharacteristically unable to pull the trigger when his victim greets his advances with a shrug of indifference. The killer eventually settles with a much more satisfying Plan B––namely, boffing Rogers with gusto. After all, a body like Mimi’s is a terrible thing to waste.
