Kadi Kivilo's screen career actually came about because of the death of her mother. One of the people to reach out was Anna Hints, a friend from university who was in the process of making her feature film debut. She was putting together a documentary about the smoke saunas that are a part of Estonian culture and how they facilitate female bonding and empowerment. Anna invited her to be in the film and eventually, Kadi not only became an integral part of the film’s creation, she became the face of the film - in the most literal sense. Kadi is really the only woman whose face is continually shown on-screen, in addition to her fully nude body, which is surrounded by other naked ladies throughout what appears to be a year’s worth of visits to a smoke sauna in the wilderness. Whether this ends up being Kadi’s only film role still remains to be seen, but if it is, we’re glad she had the Estonia’s to go the full monty!
