Japanese actress Junko Miyashita is a famous figure in the softcore world of her country’s twisted cinema, specifically that genre referred to as Roman Porno. During the ’70s she was considered a queen of the nasty niche but was also recognized by critics for a talent beyond her obvious ones. She moved into mainstream film and was even nominated for a Japanese Academy Award for best new actress in Dynamite Bang Bang (1978).
