Everyone’s heard of the Mack Daddy, but what about the Mack Mommy? That is the one, the only, the super-boobed June Mack. She’s only been in one film, but that film was the X-rated Beneath the Valley of the Ultra-Vixens (1979), written by Roger Ebert, and directed by Russ Meyer, who is probably more famous for titles like Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!, and Up!. (Roger Ebert is more famous for Beyond the Valley of the Dolls. And his thumbs.) June played Junkyard Sal, a massive-boobed broad with no shame in her naked game—top or bottom. Born in Louisiana as June Mincher to Mack and Sherrard (you can see where she took her stage name), June wound up in California. Now here’s where it gets interesting… Reportedly, June was known for being a prostitute who drove a lavender Rolls Royce and carried up to 12 grand in cash under her wig. She advertised in local sex-oriented publications as a “Sexy Black & Indian Goddess” with a 56-inch bust. June was shot to death on May 3, 1984, at the age of 29, while on a Van Nuys sidewalk. The investigation into her death lasted years, and intertwined with the Cotton Club slaying in Hollywood, both allegedly done by the same duo of killers. Some say it was a hired hit, contracted because a grandma didn’t like her grandson fraternizing with June; others say it had to do with drugs. And still, there’s another story that she simply died of a heart attack. No matter how she left, the world lost a fabulous character.
