For thirty years, pert and pretty Julia Duffy has been one of the cutest blonde temptations on TV. Capable of playing a fluffy bunny of love or a scheming vixen, Duffy's versatility and clean, high-cheeked features have helped her survive and thrive in small-screen projects as diverse as One Life to Live, Baby Talk, and Social Studies. Her most enduring creation is the prudish blonde killjoy Stephanie Vanderkellen on the long-running yuck-fest Newhart. Julia's forays into big-screen work are less well known but more revealing, although not fully so. In Wacko (1981), Julia pulls up her dress to show a long expanse of pearly white flank, broken only by a skimpy pantie line. She also shows whiter than bright arms and legs as she lay on a parade ground with her hands and feet attached to opposing lawnmowers. What's really wacko is that more does not meet the eye.
