Joy Ride (2001)

We were overjoyed to watch the action movie Joy Ride (2001) since we assumed it would be as skintastic as Joyride (1977) starring Melanie Griffith. Alas, the R-rated flick is closer to the skin-gy pic Joyride (1996). Not to be confused with the gal-pal comedy Joy Ride (2023), this thriller follows two brothers — Lewis (Steve Zahn) and Fuller (Paul Walker) Thomas — on a road trip. Everything is fine until the bros buy a CB and decide to pretend to be a woman who wants to meet a trucker (Matthew Kimbrough) they’ve nicknamed Rusty Nail. Once Rusty is all hot and bothered, the Thomas brothers tell him to meet the fabricated female at a motel. While Lewis and Fuller find the prank hilarious, Rusty is unamused. Not only does the trucker have no sense of humor, he’s also a psycho killer! Needless to say, a whole lot of twists and turns ensue. Of course, some curves are welcome — if they’re provided by a pretty blonde. Enter Leelee Sobieski. Her portrayal of Venna Wilcox will coax your cock to perk up since the braless babe shows off her pokies in nearly everything she wears. We wish we could say she literally loses her top at some point but the modest actress remains covered up. At least, she throws a bone in one scene when she can be seen donning itty bitty black briefs. Apparently, her character is just as much of a tease as the guys played by Zahn and Walker.
