Based on the novel by Jewish writer Mordecai Richter, Joshua Then and Now (1985) tells the story of a Jewish writer from his confusing Montreal boyhood to his even more confusing adult life. This led to all sorts of allegations that the story is autobiographical, and although Richter has yet to confirm or deny these claims, if there were any women like the beautiful, blonde and fantastically naked Gabrielle Lazure in Mr. Skin's autobiography, he'd be downright bragging.
