James at 15

Review

The teen drama James at 15 was based on the TV movie of the same title and originally broadcast between October 1977 and June 1978. Strangely, despite being popular with the audience, this series only lived to see its initial 21 episodes before being buried and forgotten. The story centred on the 15-year-old hobby photographer James (Lance Kerwin) who had to leave his beloved girlfriend behind when his family moved from Oregon to Boston.  In the process of the series we see James growing up, gaining experiences, and making decisions. What differentiates James at 15 from many modern TV series is that it actually tried to portray the life of a teenager how it actually is without excluding major issues like sex, drugs, etc. Thus we learned about James’s first time, teenage alcoholism, fatal illnesses, pregnancy, and even about his sister having an affair with a teacher. As far as nudity is concerned, the former Disney star Kim Richards, who played one of the title character’s two sisters, looked pretty hot in 1984’s Turf Turf but sadly never got nekkid in front of Mr. Camera.
