Irma Vep (1996)

A warm and engulfing French comedy that gently satirizes the French cinema scene, Irma Vep (1996) centers around the production of a remake of Les Vampires (1915). That's a famous French serial about a crew of cat burglars, not the story of anything supernatural. Fake film director Rene Vidal (Jean-Pierre Leaud) fell in love with the gorgeous slip of Asian perfection Maggie Cheung, playing herself here, and has imported her from Hong Kong to star in his movie as the title thief Irma Vep. But confidence in the once revered auteur is lacking, and soon enough everyone's trying to remake the remake in their own image. The prop mistress Zoe (Nathalie Richard) thinks the key to the movie being a hit is putting Maggie in the tightest suit she can, probably because Zoe's also got her eye on sticking her face between Maggie's thighs! Maggie think the film's best chance is for her to starts stealing stuff for real, as research. But while Rene's race swapped remake seems like a good idea, unsurprisingly it causes all sorts of controversy. The studio wants to ditch Maggie and Rene, and bring in Jose Mirano (Lou Castel) to take over the movie with a French lead. Miss Cheung never shows us the Cheung-hole, but we do see her squeaking all over the place in her super tight suit. She's robbing and we're throbbing seeing that skin tight action! The only nudity we get is from the busty babe with the old school bush, Arsinee Khanjian, who goes full frontal making a naked phone call, as Maggie slinks around her house during a home invasion. Give that curvy goddess the lead and your caper will be a huge hit! Irma-gerd that body is fire!
