Hybrid (1997)

Sci-fi writers are a depressing bunch. If you thought Hybrid (1997) was a treatise on gas-electric automobiles and how they’ll save our country from dependence on foreign oil, you’re sadly mistaken. The movie is set in a dismal future when Earth has become a desolate waste ground. A group of military survivalists makes their way through the desert landscape in search of shelter but finds instead an abandoned research facility that houses an evil alien hybrid. Nothing good ensues, except that J.J. North and Brinke Stevens get les-be-clean in a T&A-heavy shower scene. See, the future isn’t all bad.
