Houdini (2023)

Directed by Manu Cossu, Dua Lipa’s video for her single “Houdini” features the Grammy-winning artist in a dance rehearsal room practicing her moves in a nude corset and fishnet top while her reflection in the mirror occasionally breaks out into some sexy steps of her own. Described by the musician herself as “very tongue in cheek”, the song “represents the most light and freeing parts of [my] singledom… exploring the idea of whether someone is really worth my while or if I’ll ghost them in the end.” At one point, the singer is surrounded by male back-up dancers who, like her, have their hair dyed red - the color of the flags she’s on the lookout out for in a relationship in order to know if it’s time to disappear. No matter how hard we wish, her clothes never pull a vanishing act, though Dua’s dancing is still hot as hell to watch.
