Hey Joe (2024)

Dean Barry (James Franco) is a World War II veteran who was stationed in Napoli back in 1944. It was there that he met and fell in love with a young woman named Lucia. Twenty-five years later, after receiving a telegram, a depressed and alcoholic Dean decides to sell his 1966 Mustang so he can travel back the Spanish Quarters in Napoli and find the son it turns out he fathered with Lucia. His partner in this search is a sex worker named Bambi (Giulia Ercolini), and with her help they discover that his son Enzo (Francesco Di Napoli) is part of the local crime syndicate run by Enzo’s stepfather Don Vittorio (Aniello Arena). Dean does his best to help him pay off his debts and even tries to entice him with the chance at a new beginning in America, but since the death of his mother Enzo seems to already have accepted his fate.
