With over 225 acting credits and a career that spanned more than 63 years, Hannelore Elsner has had plenty of opportunity to share her bare beauty on the screen. A legend in Germany, and one of the greatest actresses of post-war German cinema, her first roles as a teenager and young adult were primarily in melodramatic series, followed by regular guest roles in a lot of German TV crime shows. In the late ‘60s, the dark-haired beauty started taking on sexier roles, interspersed with dramatic turns, capturing a wide range of fans. Hannelore, or Hanni to her friends, was almost bare in a wire bikini top as Anacoana in the TV movie Christoph Columbus or the Discover of the Americas (1969), then went completely bare-breasted as Brigitte in The Bed Student or What Do I Do with the Girls? (1970). Hanni (because Mr. Skin considers her a dear friend) got naked at least six more times over the years, her figure as Margot in Doberstein (1993) at the age of 51 looking just as magnificent as her earlier work. Not just another pretty face with a good body, the actress earned 18 wins and 13 nominations for various projects, including two German Film Awards (like an Academy Award), and two Bavarian Film Awards (more Oscar-like honors)—one each for her portrayal of Hanna Flanders in No Place to Go (2000). Her television work was equally impressive, and she received an Honorary Award of the Bavarian Minister President from the Bavarian TV Awards.
