Biography

A working and busy actress since 1985, Felicity Montagu has found her niche on screen specializing in mostly supporting comedy roles. Primarily seen in UK productions, she’s also hit Hollywood with Renée Zellweger in Bridget Jones’s Diary (2001) playing Perpetua (“Perpetua's a fart-ass old bag who spends her time bossing me around.”), as the Clipboard Nazi in How to Lose Friends & Alienate People (2008) with Megan Fox, Thandie Newton, and Kirsten Dunst, and as Mrs. Garner in the biopic Resistance (2020), with Jesse Eisenberg as Marcel Marceau. Felicity also worked with Carmen Electra as Val in the sexy comedy romp I Want Candy (2007), where her fart-ass was transformed into a hottie in a naughty black lacy thing, who gets felt up from underneath. In her native country, the Leeds-born star has taken leading roles in television series, where she seems to prefer to work, in the likes of Ffizz as Griselda from 1987-1989; Dr. Kate Russell in Health and Efficiency from 1993-1995; as Lynn Benfield in I’m Alan Partridge from 1997-2002, for which she was nominated for a British Comedy Award for Best TV Comedy Actress; in Nighty Night from 2004-2005 as Sue Forks; playing various parts in Planet Sketch in 2005; Barbara Du Prez in Suburban Shootout in 2006-2007; in the mini-series Johnny and the Bomb (2006) as Mildred Seeley;

the recurring Caroline Bosman in Doc Martin in episodes spanning from 2004-2013; in the popular Hank Zipzer as Miss Adolf from 2014-2016; in the mini-series Mapp & Lucia (2014) as Godiva “Diva” Plaistow; as Joan in the mini-series Brief Encounters (2016); in Sally4Ever as Eleanor in 2018; Arabella Briggs in the mini-series Vanity Fair (2018); reprising her role as Lynn in This Time with Alan Partridge from 2019-2021; and in the mini-series Landscapers (2021). That’s a lot of credits—perfect for the whole lotta woman that is Felicity.
