Oftentimes, we expect to see ingénues getting nude early on in their careers since it tends to help them climb the proverbial ladder of cinematic success. But Tushka Bergen seemed to do this in reverse. The rising starlet worked in show biz for a decade before she began doffing her duds onscreen. After making her movie debut opposite Mel Gibson in Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome (1985), Tushka popped up alongside Barbara Hershey and a young Christian Bale in Swing Kids (1993). Her prestigious (and fully-clothed) roles continued with Whit Stillman’s acclaimed dramedy Barcelona (1994) co-starring Mira Sorvino. Yet sadly for Ms. Bergen (not for Mr. Skin), the parts that were then presented to her involved flashing flesh. It’s as if the babe hadn’t built up a respectful resumé! But she did what she had to do which meant getting nude! In Voices (1995), a biopic about Arnold Heseltine (who?), Tushka exposed her whatzits — that is, her nude boobs and booty! The skintastic actress then went full frontal in the aptly-titled Australian flick Hurrah (1998). Hurrah, we get to see her bare breasts and bush as she feigns having sex! By 2003, Tushka showed off her sense of humor as well as her corseted cleavage in the racy romp Horseplay starring Marcus Graham and Abbie Cornish. Since then, it seems Ms. Bergen has passed the baton and retired. But we can still enjoy her titillating turns on film (Turning April, Lovelife) and on TV (Sons and Daughters, Always Afternoon, Frasier). Thanks, Tushka!
