A goombah series based on the life of Donnie Brasco writer Joe Pistone, this oddly released one-hour show ran for nine episodes… over nine days. Then it was axed. Which is a damn shame because it was good TV, every bit as well produced and performed as The Sopranos. Pistone had at one time in his life been an undercover FBI agent working his way up the mafia ladder, and this series was based on his experiences, most of which were damn harrowing. Jason Gedrick kicks much ass as Joe Falcone, and if you ever see this thing in rerun, pull up a chair and get into it. Good stuff.
