Enigma (2001)

Enigma (2001) is a war movie for nerds. While the he-men are fighting through blood and guts on the frontlines, the mathematicians here are trying to break the German's infamous enigma encoding machine. There are a lot of protractors dangling, but viewers' pencils are sharpened thanks to the presence of Kate Winslet. The titanic-titted star is no bashful betty, and it's an enigma as to why she keeps her clothes on throughout the film. Thankfully, Saffron Burrows adds some much-needed spice to the proceedings. She's the master code breaker's old belle, one-half librarian and one-half dirty book. When she opens her cover and flashes her pages, it gives new meaning to the term "well read."
