Biography

Ellen Sandweiss attended high school with famed Spider-man (2002) director Sam Raimi and cult actor Bruce Campbell, and appeared in Raimi’s early Super 8 productions including Within the Woods (1978) which would serve as a proof of concept for Raimi's bigger films. Although Sam headed to Michigan State, Bruce went to Western Michigan and Ellen attended The University of Michigan, the trio never lost touch and eventually Ellen went on to play Campbell’s sister, Cheryl Williams in The Evil Dead (1981). Now considered a horror classic that's spawned sequels, reboots and TV shows, the movie also marks Ellen’s only nude scene, when her tit is exposed as the evil forest spirits take advantage of her by having tree braches tie her up and rip her clothes off. That scene was banned in some countries, but it made Ellen a star since it had our between the leg lumber Miracle growing. Ellen chose to return to college and have a family, including daughter Jessy Hodges who also took up acting and went on to star on NBC's Indebted. But after a twenty-five year hiatus, Ellen returned to horror with Satan’s Playground (2004), opposite Felissa Rose of Sleepaway Camp (1983) fame. While she's been in other stuff like Deadly Women and Dark Fields (2009), Ellen's mainly been taking smaller, fun roles alongside her old buddies, like joining Campbell in My Name is Bruce (2007), reteaming with Raimi in Oz the Great and Powerful (2013), and reprising her Evil Dead role in a couple episodes of Ash vs Evil Dead in 2016. She didn't give us another look at her rack though, which was hugely disappointing. We were praying she would go for another hike in the haunted woods, and let us once again see the goods. When it comes to Ellen Sandweiss, we bet they're still nice.
